Delta is accelerating its efforts to build a more sustainable, people-first future of air travel. Starting this month, the airline will revamp its inflight product offering with handmade amenity kits, bedding made from recycled materials, reusable and biodegradable amenities, and premium canned wine. Together, the products will reduce single-use plastic consumption on board by approximately 4.9 million pounds (2,222.6 tons) annually, which is roughly equivalent to the weight of 1,500 full-size cars, and will significantly increase Delta's support for businesses run by minorities and women.
