Hi all lost on new years day the oil filler cap for my 1938 MG SA, this is the same type as on the XPAG engine but a slightly larger diameter. I will need one before the car can run again.

Hi mg4me, Sorry to hear that, would any MG oil filler cap fit? I suggest try to get one from eBay which may only cost £2-£5 at most and if it fits thats great, its worth a try. Admin.

I wish it was that simple, the original has a push button in its centre that operates a diaphragm set up which spreads about a dozen grippers inside the aperture it fits into. Found out yesterday the reason for the loss was a melted piston.
